Geschichte hinter dem Kunstwerk

Die Große Freiheit 36 ist einer der großen Musikclubs im Hamburger Stadtteil St. Pauli. Seit der Eröffnung im Jahr 1985 gehört die Location zu den bekanntesten Konzert- und Veranstaltungsorten Deutschlands.
Besonders berühmt ist die "Freiheit" wegen seiner musikalischen Geschichte: Im darunterliegenden Kaiserkeller traten Anfang der 1960er Jahre die Beatles auf und machten Hamburg damit zu einem wichtigen Ort  der internationalen Rockmusik. Der Club bietet Platz für etwa 1.000 Besucher. Regelmäßig treten dort nationale und internationale Künstler aus verschiedenen Musikrichtungen wie Rock, Pop, Hip-Hop oder Elektro auf.  
Im Laufe der Jahre standen viele berühmte Musiker und Bands auf der Bühne, darunter Coldplay, Daft Punk oder Die Fantastischen Vier. 

The Große Freiheit 36 is one of the major music clubs in Hamburg’s St. Pauli district. Since its opening in 1985, the venue has become one of the most famous concert and event locations in Germany. 
The club is especially well known for its musical history: in the Kaiserkeller located beneath the venue, The Beatles performed in the early 1960s, helping to make Hamburg an important center of international  rock music. 
Today, the club can host around 1,000 visitors and regularly features national and international artists from genres such as rock, pop, hip-hop, and electronic music. 
Over the years, many famous musicians
